An ATP is an Authorized Training Partner of PMI. This is a title bestowed to training companies that have been thoroughly vetted and scrutinized by PMI, in order to ensure its caliber of training for their exams is up to the highest bar of excellence. Authorized Training Partner’s (ATP) are specifically picked by PMI to offer their exclusive content to potential certification holders. They are able to offer PMI licensed material to their students that aren’t available to the general public or offered by non-ATP trainers.
Any Authorized Training Partner (ATP) approved by PMI will not be able to offer self-study course packages for the PMP exam. Due to the complexity of the exam, instructor-led training is now mandatory for an individual’s preparation. This represents a change on behalf of PMI to adopt a much more experiential rather than knowledge-based approach to exam testing and eventual success.

An Authorized Training Partner (ATP) is the evolution of the REP accreditation from PMI. Whereas previously an REP just needed to go through a generic audit to become certified by PMI, ATPs must demonstrate a high level of expertise in traditional and agile project management training as well as financial stability to certify. ATPs are an integral part of PMI’s exclusive training partners. Only a select few companies are able to achieve this, and most REPs do not have the qualifications necessary to become an ATP. While serving in the military I often found myself interested in pursuing a career within IT. Shortly after exiting the military, I started my journey and landed a position as an apprentice with a global consulting firm.
I began taking the Windows 2000 MCSE track in June of 2001. I decided to check out GIT after hearing an ad on the radio, and after viewing the facilities I signed up immediately.
I joined Global IT’s Software QA & Testing, Oracle 12c SQL, and Oracle JAVA SE 8 programming from February 2018 to June 23, 2018. The Director at Global Information Technology tailored my courses to fit my career path and goals.
